TRAINING FOR THE BR 187

Each series has its own characteristics. During the training for the BR 187 our train drivers showed great enthusiasm over these days.

The “Last mile locomotive” closes the gap between the main line and the last mile. On the track, it demonstrates all the qualities of a state-of-the-art electric locomotive, and where the overhead line comes to an end, it then switches over to the diesel engine. The engine driver takes the train to its destination, without changing locomotives in the shunting area and right up to the last mile.
