A WODERFULL INITIATIVE
“The convoy is accompanied by medical staff and the eight carriages are equipped with special medical equipment. The train will transport patients in Italy and abroad to relieve hospitals. Roma Termini is also the first Italian railway hub where, thanks to the collaboration with the Lazio Region and the Italian Red Cross Federation, 1,500 vaccinations can be given every day – with 21 stations, two of which are dedicated to people with disabilities. We also want to create a Covid-free train, which will first be tested on the Milan-Rome route. In cooperation with the Red Cross, passengers will be tested before boarding. We will implement this solution specifically for summer tourist destinations, it will be an exceptional opportunity for destinations to have safe trains. FS Italiane has been continuously committed to ensuring mobility and protecting people’s health since the beginning of the medical emergency.”
