JOINT STAND WITH MERCITALIA, HALL B6, STAND 314

At the inside stand (B6.314) the focus was on the activities of the MERCITALIA Group. “Making rail perform for you“: With that slogan we emphasized synergies in the Group, as well as the special TX expertise in logistics and production, our network and our connections.

OUTDOOR STAND 705.5

At the outdoor stand we presented an initiative that is currently very important to us, together with our partners Vegatrans, Kässbohrer Transport Technik and linkin.biz as “Pure Green Pioneers“ for the first time. With this cooperative venture we are strengthening our commitment to zero emission transport. In order to shift even more traffic from road to rail, we see a need for new strategies, including concepts that go beyond our own capabilities. Cooperation is the key. The common goal of the Pure Green Pioneers is flexible and environmentally friendly transport solutions by rail, and the common vision is zero emission logistics.

A powerful lever is provided by innovations that make access to rail easier or possible where it previously seemed unthinkable. In this context, we have exhibited two products: NiKRASA makes non-craneable semi-trailers craneable, roadrailLink turns standard pocket wagons into transport wagons for commercial vehicles. In a virtual reality dome, the loading techniques could be experienced all round in 360 degrees.

VISIT BY DR. HANS GEORG REICHHART,
BAVARIAN MINISTER OF TRANSPORT

A special highlight of the fair days was the visit of the Bavarian Minister of Transport, Dr. Reichhart, to our outdoor stand. Mirko Pahl had the opportunity to present the NiKRASA and R2L Platform products and their potentials. Our aim was to show that we can present concrete solutions to facilitate access to rail and to enable the shift from road to rail.

The discussion, which lasted about 20 minutes, focused above all on how politics can help rail freight transport at national and state level with very concrete measures to increase the competitiveness of rail compared with lorries. The topics discussed in particular included increasing terminal capacities in Bavaria, industrial rail production in transalpine transport, investment in a 740 m rail network in Germany and even longer trains (1000 metres and above) as well as the promotion of ETCS equipment for vehicles.

The Minister of State was impressed by our commitment as TX Logistik and promised us his support in political discussions on these topics.
