TX Logistik presents “Pure Green Pioneers” at the transport logistic fair
Cooperation with partners Vegatrans, Kässbohrer Transport Technik and linkin.biz
Troisdorf, 3 June 2019 – With the Pure Green Pioneers cooperative venture, TX Logistik AG is strengthening its commitment to zero emissions transport. The aim is to produce new concepts and products in order to shift even more traffic to the rails, together with partners Vegatrans, Kässbohrer Transport Technik and the consultancy firm LinkinBiz. In that context, the latest versions of the handling systems NiKRASA 2.0 and roadrailLink (r2L) are to be presented at the “transport logistic” trade fair in Munich from 4 to 7 June. NiKRASA makes non-craneable semi-trailers craneable, and roadrailLink transforms standard pocket wagons into transport wagons for commercial vehicles (TXL stands: Hall B6.314 and open air stand 705.5).
“Today, it is imperative to reduce CO2 emissions in all areas. This applies in particular to freight transport. Forwarders face the challenge of reducing CO2 emissions in their supply chains and many companies now have stringent CO2 reduction requirements,” says Berit Börke, Chief Sales Officer at TX Logistik. “Here, we promote and offer innovative, versatile and environmentally friendly transport solutions by rail as part of the Pure Green cooperation – for sustainable transport with the aim of zero emissions.”
In the automotive industry, for example, there are an increasing number of corporate guidelines for CO2 savings. “In some cases, emissions are required to be reduced by up to 30 percent over the next few years,” confirms Franz Blum, managing director and shareholder of Vegatrans. “Our r2L platform developed jointly with Kässbohrer helps to reduce emissions throughout the outbound logistics chain.” This can save up to 30 metric tons of CO2 per departure and direction. At the same time, the shift to rail relieves the burden on road freight transport in sensitive regions such as the Brenner route.
For Vegatrans, green logistics is not just the order of the day, but a corporate philosophy and an important part of the company’s DNA. For Franz Blum and for Günther Percht, the managing director of Kässbohrer Transport Technik GmbH, participation in the Pure Green Pioneers cooperation is just as logical: “Change requires the dynamism of a group of pioneers who have the courage to break new ground and overcome resistance.”
